TFX’s curated fitness concept provides more choices with an all-in fitness experience
6 May, 2019 (Singapore) – Homegrown fitness brand, True Group is proud to announce the launch of its new TFX brand with three new clubs opening within the next four months. Its two-floor 15,000sq ft flagship club in Funan will open at the end of June, followed shortly by a new club at Pacific Plaza (19,500 sq ft) in July, and a new club at Millenia Walk in September 2019.
Taking the lead for the fitness industry in Singapore, True Group has created TFX to deliver curated innovative programmes in which members can track and achieve results through technology. With a focus on innovation, technology-enabled training and a consumer-centric perspective, TFX’s programmes will build on a 4-Quadrant Fitness Programme model encompassing Metabolic, Strength, Restoration and Variability conditioning to help members achieve fitness sustainability.
Sean Tan, Director of True Group said, “True Group’s new management are fitness enthusiasts who understand fitness from the user’s perspective. We are always on the gym floor working out, interacting with members, and trying out the equipment. The concept of fitness sustainability is at the core of TFX; that is why TFX clubs will not only feature the best-in-class equipment from a variety of brands, but also science-based programming and workouts that are regularly updated to keep interest piqued and results coming.“
“TFX will cater to those looking out for the latest in fitness trends as we launch our unique “club-within-a-club” concept, where we will set aside areas in our clubs to test-bed new fitness concepts. Think of it like having curated boutique fitness concepts as “pop-ups” within our gyms,” he adds.
Slated to open in June 2019, TFX Funan will be the first gym in Singapore to house the Matrix Strength Ultra Series which comes with Intelligent Video Training Display for resistance training. It will also have Life Fitness IC6 spinning bikes, a Naomi training cube, Concept 2’s Bike and Ski ERGs and rowers, functional training equipment from Ziva and Torque, and Rogue’s barbells and a Monster Rhino Belt Squat.
Aside from the latest machinery, True Group has invested in My Zone: a heart-rate based system that uses wireless and cloud technology to monitor physical activity.
My Zone connects to user’s wearable devices such as a smartwatch, as well as connecting to the gym equipment – all geared to monitoring achievements, fitness progression and ultimately, delivering results. My Zone also allows users to connect and interact with other club members, creating a community aspect to training, among many more cool perks.
Yoga will be a key feature at TFX Pacific Plaza, with its entire Level 4 premises dedicated to the latest in yoga experiences and classes which include immersive yoga, wall yoga, aerial yoga and private personal training.
TFX Pacific Plaza’s 5thfloor premises will open in July 2019 and will feature functional training equipment from Torque and Ziva, cardio equipment from Matrix, strength equipment from Matrix and Life Fitness alongside spinning bikes from Life Fitness, and equipment from Rogue. The club will also have a boxing area, lifting platforms for both men and women, and equipment from Les Mills’ SMARTech line.
When it opens in September 2019, True Group’s 41,700sq ft facility at Millenia Walk will feature both TFX and True Fitness, and will be the largest commercial gym in Singapore.
